I’m tired.  Really, really tired.  You know why?  Because I found out last night that OBSESSION had been released, and I stayed up late reading it.  LOVED IT.  I mean, I really, really, really loved this book.  This is the third book in the Plus One Chronicles featuring bad-ass wounded hero Sloane Michaels and sweet, kindhearted, fiercely protective Kat Thayne.  So, make sure you start with the first book, which is THE PROPOSITION.  The second book is POSSESSION, and then you can read the fiery, sexy conclusion in OBSESSION.

These days, with three series going,  I don’t get a lot of time to read.  So when I do take the time, I need to be swept away in a story that’s so good I forget I’m a writer.  I don’t edit, I don’t critique, I just get lost.  This three-part series completely took me away into another world, and I just loved it.  I’m pretty sure I have a major crush on Sloane, but that’s okay.  We won’t tell anybody, right?

To celebrate how much fun I had reading Sloane and Kat’s story, I’m going to give away the three books in digital form.  The winner can let me know if they want kindle, nook, sony, iTunes, etc.  To make this fun, you only have the weekend to enter.  As soon as I get a chance Monday morning (probably about 10am PST), I’m going to randomly draw a name from the comments below.

A quick excerpt from FATED:

Talen’s grip tightened on her wrist. “Vampire.”

Cara coughed out a laugh. “You’re a vampire?” Her gaze swung to the door.

Issuing another deep sigh she started to equate with him, he smiled. Two sharp canines instantly emerged.

“Oh God.” Cara struggled to yank back her hand.

“Do I need to bite you for you to believe me?” Interest and something darker wove through him, into her. She fought to block herself from his emotions.

“No. No biting.” Her mind reeled while reality spun away. “And you drink blood?”

“Only in extreme situations.”

“Extreme?” This couldn’t be happening.

“During a fight or sex.” He voice lowered to the growl he’d uttered just before deepening their earlier kiss. Something skittered through her belly in response.

“Oh.” Her mind flashed, unbidden, to his fangs. And sex. Her heart thumped once. Hard. She stopped fighting. For the moment. “Earlier you didn’t sound sorry peace is over.”

Deceptively normal canines flashed in a grin. “We were made to fight. Plus, living amongst you, yet having no contact has been difficult. We need humans.” Golden heat ran over her face.

“For blood.”

“That too.” His voice lowered.

Everything in her stilled, and even her heart may have stopped for a second. She lacked the focus to block the feelings coming from him now. “What else?” Her voice cracked.

“Both races are born male. Only. Our mates are human. And Cara,” his voice dropped to a rumble, “you’re mine.”

I get a notice every time somebody new subscribes to the blog here, and there have been so many new subscribers that I thought maybe I should write a blog.  🙂  Well, if you follow me on FaceBook,  you know I’ve been writing at the lake a lot lately.  There isn’t any internet out there, so it’s pretty great to write.  My husband took the picture of me from inside the cabin, and I had no clue.

The bathtub is still in my backyard, and the parking meter is still in the front.  On all that is holy and pure, I don’t know why.  We live in a very nice neighborhood with normal neighbors.  I very much fear we’re ‘those people.’  Yes, I plan to move both the bathtub and the meter, but they’re heavy.  I’ll figure it out soon.

I had an absolute ball in Atlanta at the RWA Conference, and the workshop I did with Cynthia Eden was a lot of fun.  She’s a fountain of information about serial killers, and she’s an amazing writer.  Kristin Higgins was one of the keynote speakers, and she made us both laugh and cry.  I read her book on the plane ride home and laughed out loud.  People probably looked, but I didn’t care.  🙂  My room was on the 39th floor, and this is a picture at night of downtown Atlanta.  Pretty, right?

I’m heading to Savannah for the Authors After Dark Convention on August 14th.  If you’re anywhere near Savannah, drop by.  It looks like a lot of fun!  I’ll post some updates as the week goes along.

Finally, here are the updates for the series:

Dark Protectors:  TWISTED was released in June and features wolf shifters Terrent and Maggie.  SHADOWED, Jase’s novel, will release in both ebook and print on October 3rd.  The ebook is up for preorder now.  TWISTED, TEMPTED, and TAMED (the three Dark Protector novellas) will be available in print next May, when TAMED comes out.  We’re combining the three into one print book.  YAY!

Sin Brothers:  FORGOTTEN SINS released July 2nd and is going strong.  Unfortunately, it hasn’t been available in the UK or overseas at all, and my editor is working on rectifying that.  Hopefully this month I’ll have some good news.  It’s driving me crazy, to be honest.  The print book will be available in January at all bookstores and online.  Book 2 (Matt’s book) is all finished and will be released this coming December.  I should have a name and cover soon…

Maverick Montana:  The first two books are out and are doing well.  Book three, RISING ASSETS, is tentatively slated for a November release.  I’ll know more soon.  There doesn’t seem to be a plan for print with this series so far, but I’ll keep asking for it.  🙂
