How has your week been?  Mine has been crazy with promo and the fun of Mercury.  I went a little darker with this book (it’s a post-apocalyptic world, after all), and the response and reviews have been awesome.  I’m so glad!  In addition, I went into  my local Walmart the other day, and look what I saw!

WalMartI did a very happy dance and took pictures.  I’m also supposed to be in Target, but I’m not in my local Target.  If you see one of my books in Target, would you shoot me a picture?  I’d really appreciate it!

Here’s a sample of one of the Sephora kits:

Here’s a quick blurb:

Lynne swallowed and stepped back inside to shut the door.  Tears pricked her eyes.  How silly.  What the hell did she care about some crazy woman who didn’t like her?  Nobody liked her, and she’d always be alone.  She placed the soup on the table, no longer hungry.

Even her bones were exhausted, and sometimes she wondered why she hadn’t just died.  What had she done that was so terrible to have deserved this?  Her heart beat steadily, the small glow showing blue through her heart.

A tear fell.

Of course, Jax Mercury chose than minute to walk inside.

He paused, an ‘oh shit’ expression crossing his rugged face.  She would’ve laughed, but the struggle to step the tears was too hard.  A frown lowered his eyebrows, and he shut the door, placing several guns on top of the useless refrigerator.  “Did I hurt you that badly?” he asked.

She paused and waited until his words sank in. “No.”

He blinked and glanced around the apartment. “Stop crying.”

At the order, a loud sob erupted from her chest.

He stilled.  “Ah, what’s wrong?”

It was a simple question.  A nice question.  One a civilized person would ask.  The easy words ticked through her, and something exploded deep inside.  “Everything.”  She threw out her hands.  “Everybody hates me, the world is dying, and you fucking spanked me earlier.”  She doubled over as the emotional hurt overcame her.

“Well, hell.”  A second later she found herself lifted and cradled in very strong arms.  Jax held her against his hard chest, his mouth near her ear.  “Nobody hates you.”

“Yes, they do,” she hiccupped, crying harder, her body shaking.

He sighed and dropped onto the sofa, holding her closer, tucking her face into his neck.  “We fear things in direct proportion to our ignorance of them.”  His breath brushed her ear, and his size provided safety.

Now for the contest:

Answer the following question in the comments below.  I’ll draw five names, and those winners will get to choose whether they want an ebook of Wicked Ride or Wicked Edge.  Good luck!

Question:  If the apocalypse does come, are you prepared?  If so, how?  🙂

Tempted Teased Tamed

Tempted

On the run from a mental institution and her vindictive half-brother, it’s safe to say that Sarah Pringle’s happy life as a schoolteacher is on hold. Too bad that as far as self-defense goes, “run and hide” is the best she’s got. And with the monsters that started her escape hot on her heels, that’s not going to cut it for long…

That is, unless Sarah has a bigger, badder, hotter monster on her side. Max Petrovsky is right at the top of the list of alpha male ass-kickers. And he knows exactly what Sarah’s up against. Good thing, because the minute he sees her something primal kicks in, turning everyday attraction into red-hot desire. As long as they’re cooperating, why not mix some pleasure with business? Of course, Max should probably tell Sarah he’s a vampire himself…

Twisted

In human form, Terrent Vilks is all male animal–dark, ripped, predatory. As wolf, he’s unforgettably dangerous, unforgettably hot. Yet Maggie can’t remember him…

Not even when she learns she once agreed to mate him. Yeah, that was years ago, before she was kidnapped and tortured, before she lost her memory. Now she knows just one thing about herself–she’ll do whatever it takes to bring down the monsters who took her, even trust her ex.

He’s got her right where he wants her…

Tamed

Caleb Donovan was never meant to be a prophet. At heart he’s a conqueror, his appetites far more carnal than spiritual. He’s not inclined to repress his passions and surrender to fate. After all, that’s what cost him Lily—three centuries ago. She married another, because it was ordained. Now that he’s in the same benighted calling—and forced into proximity with her—all the old desires are roaring back to life…

After widowhood and centuries of celibacy, Lily is eager to explore the wild side of life, except now she’s vulnerable to another forced relationship, with an enemy. But this time she’s determined to choose her own path. And if hot, furious Caleb comes charging to the rescue, it might just change both their destinies…

Love is about to start conquering…

Enjoy an excerpt from BLIND FAITH

on May 4, 2014

Zanetti_BlindFaith_ebook[1]WOW!  Blind Faith releases on Tuesday – I can’t believe it’s finally time.  🙂  It’ll probably download tomorrow for pre-orders, if I remember right.  Here’s a quick excerpt to get us going…

Nate’s mouth covered hers with no hesitancy, no question—as if he had every right to go deep. His tongue was savage and demanding, holding nothing back and accepting no evasion. He tasted of loneliness, anger, and lust. Hard, needy, demanding lust.

The men at the door were watching.

But her body didn’t care—instantly igniting instead of pushing away. Her heart thundered in her ears, and she fell into his heat, uncaring of whether he caught her. He wrapped around her, his unyielding body holding her upright. He caressed her with his tongue, and she met him thrust for thrust, fierce pleasure lighting her on fire.

Audrey forgot where they were, who they were, everything but the desperate need he created.

He broke the kiss, blatant male hunger crossing his face. His breath panted out even as he moved them in tune with the music.

She softened against him, allowing him to lead so she didn’t collapse. Her mind whirled, and she shook her head to regain reality. “Nathan, what do you want?” The question emerged as a breathless plea she couldn’t mask.

That quickly, all hints of desire slid from his face. His chin hardened. “Want? I want to know what happened to the child you were carrying five years ago when you ripped out my heart. Where’s my baby, Audrey?”

Forgotten Sins is Traveling!

Forgotten sins _6-72Hi all!  I’m so excited to share that Forgotten Sins is now available in your local bookstore, grocery store, library, etc. in print!  If they’re not stocking it where you are, feel free to request it!  Libraries will stock a book after it’s been requested a couple of times, so feel free.  🙂

This first book in a new romantic suspense series already has more than 100 five-star reviews on Amazon.  Publisher’s Weekly noted that ‘fans of romantic suspense will enjoy the twists and turns Zanetti puts her protagonists through,’ and RT noted that “Zanetti pulls together a heady mix of sexy sizzle, emotional punch and high stakes danger in this truly outstanding tale. Brava!”  The second book, Sweet Revenge, is available in eBook now, with a print date of May.  Smart Bitches, Sexy Books claims Sweet Revenge is a ‘mix of paranormal suspense and extreme sexxytimes.”

Shane and Josie’s book has been available in ebook for a while, so some of you may have already read it.  Let me know anyway if you see the print book around, will you?  And for those overseas fans still waiting to get book 2, Sweet Revenge, in ebook, my publisher has assured me they’re working on the distribution problem.  I’m hounding them as much as possible!

Here’s one of my favorite excerpts from Forgotten Sins from when Shane and Josie are on the run and are taking a quick sleep break in a ramshackle hotel (in different beds):

Shane twitched.  Then gave a low moan.  Pain suffused the sound.

Josie’s heart lurched.  Her mind spun.

No matter who he was, she could only be herself.  If he was in pain, she couldn’t sit by and watch.  She didn’t want to be a person who’d sit by and watch.

An agonized growl rumbled from his chest.

Oh, this was a bad idea.  She crept forward, gingerly resting one knee on his bed and crawling forward.  Reaching his side, she snuggled down, her head on his outstretched arm. Warm cedar filled her senses.  She placed her hand over his heart.  “It’s okay, Shane.  Only good dreams tonight,” she whispered.  With a soft sigh, she closed her eyes.

***

Shane kept his breathing even, his body relaxed.  His heart thumped against her palm.  Awakening, he’d heard her move from the bed and had wondered.  Would she head for the door?  No.  She hadn’t.  The woman had cuddled up with danger to provide comfort for him.  Security.  Love.

His heart warmed until it hurt.  Vulnerability and need filtered through him followed by determination.  He didn’t know how the hell he’d lost her before.  No matter what it took, whoever he had to walk through, he wouldn’t lose her again.
