I Might be Driving Big Tone’ Crazy

Where I write...

Where I write…

Hi all!  I hope your 2014 is going amazingly well!  As a lot of you know, I resigned from my day job as a college professor to write full time.  It has been quite the transition, and I’m starting to find a routine.

Looks better, right? :)

Looks better, right? 🙂

But first I had to tackle a few projects around the house that have been bugging me–which of course, puts more work on Big Tone’.  His honey-do list somehow tripled since I’m at home now.  LOL!

I am still in the process of redoing my office, and it has been a lot of fun.  I have a huge roll-top desk that I use, and I’m keeping that.  But the other side of the office had an old kitchen table, and I

ditched that (it’s going to the lake) in favor of this awesome pottery barn desk.  Of course I bought the cool wall organizers as well.  We haven’t quite put up all the artwork, but we’re getting there.

Organizing, baby!

Organizing, baby!

We also tackled the kitchen cabinets with some color/stain, and we’re heading for new appliances soon.  My oven hasn’t worked right in years, and I’m tired of everything burning on top and not cooking on the bottom.  Time to update.  2014 is the year of health, and that means cooking healthy meals for everybody.

I mentioned last night that maybe we should remodel the bathrooms, and Tony looked at me like I was crazy.  Loony, deep in the voices, crazy.  So I don’t think we’ll be doing that.  Which is okay, because to be honest, I’m knee deep in edits right now and am also working on the next book.  So, I should really get back to work.

Anyway, I hope you are having a wonderful year so far, and I’ll be updating more often.  🙂

Ms. Zanetti, it is lovely to get a personal note from you (I’m sure the rest of your fans feel the same way) as it lets us have a little peek into your personal life. I’m sure your students will miss you but I admit that my selfish needs are delighted that you will now devote your writing talent full-time to your fans. I cannot get enough of your books (talk about brand loyalty)…everything you write is exceptional and I cannot wait to read your next installment. I’m not a fortune teller but I have a feeling that based upon your wonderful talent and growing popularity, I foresee a remodeling of the bathrooms as your career takes off even more and the monetary rewards start to roll in. Big Tone will just have to get used to the idea.

P.S. Feel free to charge a little more for your books–I would definitely be willing to pay more for your works! Take a look at JR Ward’s prices. You are definitely her equal.

    Peace and blessings to you.

    Hello!

Seems like the year is starting off just right for you 🙂

As for me it’s a bit slow but I am in no rush to have it swing by me! My goals are to pay off as much of my expenses as I can, focus on myself, live day to day & try to make positive & healthy choices.

I learn in the pass when I plan nothing ever works out that way. So now, I’m trying something different. I hope it works out for me 🙂

Well thanks for reading my comment & all the best for 2014!

    Regards,
    Annie

I love hearing about you and Big Tone….yall are so funny! I wish we could get a pic of Tone though so we could put a face with the name….but understand he might want to remain anonymous. I agree with the other comment that I am selfishly glad you have more time to write now, because that means more of you wonderful, wonderful books! Love the new office!!!

  6. Congrats on your retirement! Oranizing first makes everything seem easier. Good luck.

I love that new desk! May it inspire many new wonderful stories. I am also selfish in that I’m glad we now have you full time. Would also love to get a look at that hubby of yours. Bet he’s a honey!

    Looking good!
BTW my oven did the same thing!!! We ended up buying from a scratch and dent place. Same GE brand, stainless steel, warranty etc. Just the oven was dented on the back! who cares! and the fridge was dented on the side that butts up to the wall. SAVED hundreds!
    Just a suggestion.

  9. Good Job!
